Predator: Badlands

Synopsis / සාරාංශය

The 2022 film "Prey" revived the moribund Predator franchise. Director Dan Trachtenberg is set to continue that success with 2025's "Predator: Badlands." This time, the story seems to be set in the future, not the past. According to the IMDb synopsis, there's a twist to the story this time: "A young Predator outcast, exiled from his clan, finds an unexpected ally on his journey to find his ultimate adversary." The synopsis suggests that instead of the usual "Human vs. Predator" theme, we'll be seeing the story from the perspective of a Predator. This is a bold move that turns the character into a protagonist. Elle Fanning plays the main human character, and she could very well be that "unexpected friend". The film is categorized under the genres "Alien Invasion", "Action", "Adventure", "Sci-Fi" and "Thriller". The title 'Badlands' and the visuals on the poster suggest that this is a story that takes place not in a crowded city or a dense forest, but in a desolate, ruined or alien land. Looking at the audience response, the very high average rating of 7.4/10 from 54,000 votes on IMDb and a Metascore of 71 ("Generally Favorable") is strong evidence that Trachtenberg has succeeded once again. The #12 spot on the popularity index confirms that the film has attracted audiences worldwide. "Predator: Badlands" is not just an action movie, but a creation that explores the culture and psyche of the Predator, bringing a fresh experience to science fiction fans.
