The Soldiers’ field was bathed in sunshine, but the heat of the game, as well as the sweat of the players, had overtaken it. The fielders were positioned with great attention. The heat in the dugout was second to none. All eyes were on the batter.
“Up!” someone shouted. “Go there, John! Catch it!” John ran quickly and saved the ball. “Yay! Great!” He returned to his position to the applause of his teammates.
At one end, Franny seemed a little careless. “Franny, what are you doing? Playing with squirrels? Hurry up!” The coach’s voice made him jump and return his attention to the game.
Meanwhile, another conversation was starting on the field. With Halloween approaching, there was talk of a terrifying climbing challenge called the “Creepy Climb.” “Will you dare to climb that haunted hill again this time?” “The Creepy Climb is a scary experience,” said another. “You can see fear in a new dimension: height. Every 100 feet promises a new fear!”
The game resumed. Troy hit the ball, but John couldn’t keep it properly. “The ball is seven-thirty!” he shouted. “Sorry, John.” “Ah! That’s it,” John said in pain. “Come on, Troy, pay attention. Let’s go,” the coach said. “That’s it, calm down, calm down. That’s the order. All right, Troy!”

The players slowly filed off the field. Some were getting ready to go to the “Aces” to celebrate the victory. Others planned to meet at a bar in the winter. “Everyone has contacts. It’s worth talking to.” “Yeah, I’ll think about it,” someone replied.
Garrett gathered his belongings alone. Although the day had been tiring, the memories of the game remained in his mind. As the field emptied, he felt the echoes of past heroes like Joe DiMaggio reverberate there. It was the end of another day of play.
