We get to see an important story in this film. The story goes like this about a newly married couple named Pratheesh and Trisha. They lived in a small room in Wattakayom. Pratheesh is an artist. He has worked in the film industry.
The sensitive part of the story is that the couple cannot have children. The two got married due to the opposition of both their families. Trisha’s parents are rich. But Pratheesh’s family opposed this marriage due to religion.
One day, a doctor advised them to stay in the river water for about an hour. And he also told them to get close as soon as they came out of the river. This is a traditional treatment. But when the two went to the river, several people saw them, took a video of them and posted it on social media.
After this incident, they were so ashamed that they could not live. Finally, the two decided to end their lives. But the sad thing is that the autopsy report revealed that Trisha was a pregnant mother at the time of her death.
This story shows us the harm that can be done by posting personal information on social media. It also shows how young lives are ruined due to the conflict between traditional and modern medical practices and the religious and social barriers in society.
This couple thought that if they had a child, both families would be reconciled. But when their treatment was videotaped and spread on social media, they could not live. This is a truly sad ending. Such things happen because of the lack of compassion in society and the lack of respect for the privacy of others.
Now all that is left for their parents is regret. They must regret not supporting their children now. This is a lesson for all of us. We should respect the privacy of others. And we should use social media responsibly.
