It was a busy morning in Delhi in 2012. On his way to work, Special Crimes Unit officer Rajiv Kumar (John Abraham) bought a flower from a little girl selling flowers at a crossroads in response to her innocent smile. But he never imagined that that smile would fade in a moment. A bomb exploded targeting a car at the Israeli embassy, and claimed the life of that innocent girl. Rajiv’s heart burned with shock and anger. This was not just a duty for him, but a personal challenge.
The investigation began. Rajiv realized that this was one of the chapters in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel that took place in India. He could not bear to see foreign powers turn his country into a battlefield. The investigation revealed that the mastermind of this attack was a ruthless terrorist named Afsar in Iran. Indian intelligence and political leadership, unwilling to compromise international relations, tried to cover up the incident.
But Rajiv’s conscience would not allow it. He decided that justice must be served by breaking the boundaries of the law. Defying orders from his superiors, he set off for Tehran without any official approval, along with his most trusted aide, Divya (Manushi Chillar). It was a suicide mission.
Tehran was a foreign city to them. The language, culture and laws were unfamiliar. Iranian intelligence agencies were searching for them in every corner. On the other hand, the Indian government labeled Rajiv a “traitor” and denied all information related to him. With the expected support from Israel’s Mossad organization also not forthcoming, Rajiv and Divya were left completely alone.
In a city full of enemies, the two launched a mission to find Afsar. They risked their lives through technical tricks, disguises, and dangerous encounters. On this journey, Rajiv was able to see many hidden facets of political intrigue, revenge, and power struggles in Iran. He realized that it was not just a mission to catch a terrorist, but a story of complex relationships between nations and the helpless people who are left behind.
Finally, Rajiv and Afsar came face to face. It was a clash of ideologies that went beyond guns and bullets. Against Afsar, who justified crimes committed in the name of his country, Rajiv fought for humanity and justice that were above patriotism. Abandoned by his country, alone in a hostile land, this hero showed the world that justice has no borders.
