Peacemaker Season 2 picks up a few months after the end of the first season. Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, is still struggling with the memories that haunt him. After killing his father and defeating the Butterflies, he tries to become a better man. He is now trying to be more mature, not just a peacemaker. While training with Eagly, he receives an urgent call from Amanda Waller’s team.
A new threat has emerged. This time, it’s not aliens. It’s a secret organization called “The Cacophony” that has spread across the world. Their goal is to destroy existing society and create a “pure peace.” They have a mysterious ability to distort people’s emotions and memories. Their leader, “Harmony”, has the power to control people’s thoughts.
The team reunites: the skilled fighter Harcourt, the technical expert Economos, and the crazy Vigilante join the mission. Vigilante is very interested in this, and Harcourt still cares about Christopher. Economos is upset about the whole situation, but tries what he can do.
Faced with these new enemies, Peacemaker is confronted with his past again. He realizes that his previous philosophy of “peace” that he could do anything for is very similar to “Harmony’s” philosophy. But now that he has changed, he takes all the problems seriously. In the end, the team engages in a decisive battle with “Harmony”, and Peacemaker has to defeat her with his mental strength. The series ends with the team successfully completing the mission, but with a hint that more members of the “Cacophony” team are hiding in the world. This suggests that more chaotic operations are ahead.
