No signature of method: org.gradle.api.tasks.bundling.Jar.destinationDir() is applicable for argument types

I am having a problem compiling my app , I basically tried to update kotlin and gradle version to latest version that I could find. I tried to remove "proguard" option from "release" configuration in app/build.gradle file but I still get the error.

How can I solve this problem ? any known solutions ?
