Eddie is a man struggling to make ends meet. He is in debt and unable to pay his rent. He has lost the van that is essential to his work because he does not have the money to repair it. Meanwhile, he is struggling to maintain family relationships with his daughter Sarah and his ex-partner Amy. He even misses the dates he promised to pick up his daughter from school.
Desperate for money, Eddie tries to steal something from a luxury car. But he realizes too late that it is a trap set by a man named William. William reveals that he is terminally ill and that his daughter Emma was killed in a previous robbery. William locks Eddie in the car, mentally and physically tortures him, and tries to take revenge by talking about the injustice of society and his fate. He even threatens Eddie’s daughter.
Somehow, Eddie manages to escape by locking William in the car. He is able to get his van back with the money he won from a lottery ticket. In the end, despite much suffering, Eddie is able to reunite with his daughter Sarah.
