Angela Vidal, a television reporter, joins a group of firefighters on a night patrol. The purpose of this program is to show their daily routine.
A call about an elderly woman leads them to a building. There, the woman violently attacks a police officer and a firefighter. The situation spirals out of control, and the authorities surround the building, preventing anyone from leaving. They learn that this is a BNC protocol (biological, nuclear, or chemical threat situation).
Panic spreads among the people trapped in the building. No phones, televisions, or radios work, and they are completely isolated. The condition of the injured worsens and they need medical attention. A health inspector explains that the infection was spread through the saliva of a dog, which was the pet of a little girl named Jennifer.
As the infected population worsens, Angela and the team, including cameraman Pablo, try to escape the building. They encounter various obstacles and attacks from the infected. They realize that the authorities are not trying to save them. Upon entering a locked apartment, they come across information about mysterious research on a Portuguese girl. This research shows that the infection has mutated, which is very dangerous. The scientist notes that the girl must be removed and all traces of her existence must be erased.
With the loss of light, they have to use the night vision camera, and the mysterious creatures follow them. Angela and Pablo finally reach the roof of the building, where they find the body of the Portuguese girl. The girl’s body comes back to life and frightens them again. In the end, Angela is in the dark, screaming, but there is no one to save her. The story ends in a hopeless and terrifying situation.
