I’m looking for a way to implement a static map on my app. I want to draw clickable areas on the map (around some buildings), and if this app goes live it is estimated to be used for around 5000 people in 2 specific days. I heard about the free use of Google Maps but I estimate that the limit of 100,000 requests per month will not be enough, so I want a free alternative.
The project will be small to medium, somewhere in between. I don’t expect it to be a huge thing, since it will be used for a local event that happens once a year, on a full weekend (lets say from friday night to sunday afternoon).
I am developing a MAUI app that will be 99% used on mobile devices. I am also worried about the iOS thing because I don’t own an iPhone but I guess I will worry with that later.
So, is OpenStreetMaps the way to go?
