The Story of the City of Loris
In the distant past, more than a hundred thousand human years ago, the elves built and ruled a city called Loris in the forest. Over time, humans also came to the city, and the elves welcomed them. Trade flourished, and a council was established to govern the city.
But the life expectancy of humans was much shorter than that of the elves, and the people became jealous of the elves’ long-term prosperity. The people, who had removed the elves from the council through cunning tricks, passed a law to expel them from the city. Thus, the elves lost their homeland.
After many years, the city of Loris came under the rule of a corrupt sheriff. He imposed heavy taxes, and those who could not pay the taxes were exiled from the city. The townspeople, including a young woman named Emily (whose parents had once ruled the town), and her friend Sam, suffered under this rule.
To escape this difficult situation, Emily decided to seek help from the exiled elves. She met with the elves’ leaders, Lanofin Brokenleaf (a scout) and Elwyn Brokenleaf (a warlord). Lanofin listened to her and considered helping, and Elwyn, although initially reluctant, later agreed to investigate the situation in the town.
However, there were also internal conflicts among the elves over reuniting with humans and returning to the town. Meanwhile, the corrupt Sheriff conspired with the dwarves to kill several townspeople.
Emily was arrested by the Sheriff’s men, and surprisingly, Sam’s father (who was revealed to be one of the Sheriff’s assistants) was also involved. The elves, led by Lanofin and Elwyn, planned an attack to rescue Emily and capture the Sheriff.
But Sam betrayed Emily and the elves. A fierce battle ensued, and the elves were trapped. However, Emily bravely stepped forward and exposed the Sheriff’s corruption and his schemes. Eventually, the Sheriff was arrested, and Emily assumed control of the city. But due to the tense situation with the elves, the future of the city was uncertain.
