That evening, as the golden sun kissed the waves, should have been an evening of triumph for Leo, Marcus, and Ben. After stealing a priceless painting from the city’s famous art gallery, they arrived at a secluded, old mansion on the shore with a sigh of relief. The surroundings were shrouded in an eerie silence, broken only by the roar of the sea. Alex, who was supposed to bring the stolen painting, the final link in their plan, had not yet arrived.
“What’s taking him so long?” Marcus asked impatiently, stroking his gun. His hard body was as rough as his thoughts.
“Calm down, Marcus. Alex knows what to do,” Leo said, but there was a hint of doubt in his voice. Ben, the youngest of the group, stared out the window at the darkening sea with a strange fear. This house, this beach, was completely unfamiliar to him.
Hours passed. There was no news from Alex. There was no phone signal. Instead of the joy of their success, suspicion and fear began to take root in their hearts. Had Alex betrayed them? Or had he run away with the money and the painting?
“I know, you two are trying to trick me,” Marcus growled, his eyes fixed on Leo.
“Shut up, Marcus! We all did this together,” Leo replied. A fierce exchange of words broke out between them. Ben stared at the two of them in fear.
Meanwhile, Ben came across an old book from the house. It told of an ancient legend unique to this area. It was about a terrible spirit called “Diyabun” who lived in the sea. It said that the spirit’s custom was to drag people who were greedy and guilty into the depths of the sea and kill them. Ben’s body tingled.
Suddenly, a faint light appeared outside. Thinking it was the light of Alex’s car, the three of them ran outside. But all they saw were tire tracks parked near the shore. There was no car or Alex in sight. Ben saw something shining on a nearby sand dune. It was the silver necklace Alex was wearing.
At that moment, a strange ψυρψύρισμα began to rise from the seawater. It sounded like a human voice, but it had an inhuman tone. Through the mist, they saw the shadow of a black hand rise on the surface of the water. It was like a hand reaching up from a bottomless abyss, asking for something.
Marcus’ courage was drained. He screamed and ran back towards the house. Leo and Ben stared in horror. The mysterious hand that emerged from the water slowly reached out towards them. Although their heist was successful, they realized that they had come to the place that would mark their end. They now knew that their true enemy was not each other, but the ancient myth that lurked on the shore, seeking the souls of the guilty.
