The story begins with a series of tips on how to succeed as a “sugar baby” who takes financial advantage of older men. Marie, a young woman who needs money to make her dreams come true, talks to her friend Eddie. Eddie advises Marie to find a wealthy “sugar daddy”. Marie runs an online class called “How to Sugar”, helping others get into this lifestyle. She is also active on social media (FanZen account @MissMarie).
At one point, Marie meets another online activist named Lucky. Lucky, who is more experienced than Marie, advises Marie on how to make money online. She invites Marie on a “content” trip. But Marie feels the trip is questionable and skips it.
Later, Marie meets a wealthy, divorced man named Jeff. Jeff takes a liking to Marie and offers her $30,000 to live with him for a week. Marie is initially skeptical, but later accepts Jeff’s offer. Jeff even prepares a luxurious wardrobe for her.
During their time with Jeff, Marie and Jeff develop a close relationship. Jeff even encourages Marie to paint. However, Marie is suspicious of Jeff’s locked room and his strange behavior. One night, Marie sees Jeff doing something strange and fears that he may be a murderer.
Later, Marie meets Chloe Lamore, another young woman who is locked up in Jeff’s house. Chloe is also Jeff’s “sugar baby”, and Jeff is holding her captive, even though she appears to have disappeared online. Although Marie tries to help Chloe escape, Chloe seems to have adapted to the life.
Marie and Chloe discover that Jeff is secretly videotaping the relationships between Marie and Chloe and using them to make money on his own FanZen account. This is why the two decide to oppose Jeff.
Finally, the situation is further complicated by the unexpected arrival of Eddie. Eddie is revealed to be Jeff’s own son. A fight breaks out, and Chloe attacks Jeff. They decide to lock Jeff in his own house.
The story ends with Marie, Chloe and Eddie together locking Jeff up and showing him how they are living a luxurious life in his house. They feed Jeff from time to time, and he shows no remorse for what he has done.
