Donny is a plumber with decades of experience and no qualms. According to him, “shit” is money. But his son Simon is the opposite. Simon is a germaphobic, washes his hands every five minutes, and sees the world as a dirty place. He is reluctantly stuck in this “disgusting” profession at the insistence of his father.
One day, they get a call from one of the most dilapidated apartment buildings in the city. The complaint is: “A clogged toilet and strange noises.”
“Oh, another old building. Mold everywhere,” Simon grumbles, putting on a pair of rubber gloves. “Shut up and get to work, kid. Shit is our food,” Donny says, picking up his toolbox.
The bathroom in the apartment they move into looks like hell. Sarah, the young woman who lived there alone, was trembling with fear. “My cat has been missing for two days. Last night there was a scratching sound coming from inside the toilet,” she said.
Donnie smiled, “Don’t worry, ma’am, it must be a rat,” and inserted his plumber’s snake into the toilet bowl.
But it wasn’t a rat.
The snake got stuck in something. As Donnie pulled it back with great force, a stream of blood shot out of the toilet bowl along with the water. At the same time, several strange red, slimy tentacles emerged from the water and grabbed Donnie’s tool.
“What…?” Before Donnie could scream, the tentacles wrapped around his arm and pulled him to the ground.
It was a bloodthirsty, terrifying creature created by genetic engineering. The creature, which had escaped from a secret government laboratory, had made its home in the city’s oldest water system.
The building was in chaos. A fifth-floor resident was taking a shower when a claw emerged from the bathtub drain and dragged him away. Another was attacked from below while in the toilet. The building’s water system had now become a death trap.
Everyone tried to escape the building, but the main door was locked. Donnie, Simon, and Sarah were trapped in the bathroom.
“We have to stop this. I have the entire building’s plumbing plan in my head,” Donnie said. “Me? I’m not touching that shit! It’s got blood… germs!” Simon screamed in fear.
But the monster was also moving through the walls of the room they were in.
Donnie came up with a plan. The monster had to be brought to the building’s main drain and released a large amount of industrial drain cleaner under high pressure.
But to do that, someone had to go down to the main control room in the basement of the building, which was filled with the most disgusting waste.
Since Donnie was injured, that responsibility fell to Simon. Facing the greatest fear of his life, Simon waded through a knee-deep swamp of sewage, not even wearing gloves. As he turned the valve, the monster emerged from the water in front of him.
“Now!!!” Simon shouted. Donnie and Sarah, who were upstairs, released all the chemicals at once. With a terrible roar, the monster dissolved.
In the morning, Simon emerged from the room bathed from head to toe in the foul liquid. Donnie smiled at his son. “Now you’re a real plumber, son,” Donnie said, patting Simon on the back with his dirty hand. Simon closed his eyes, enduring the disgust for the first time in his life.
