The story revolves around a writer named Keane. As he struggles to write his latest book, his marriage is falling apart. His wife, Susie, is frustrated with Keane’s writing career and their relationship and decides to divorce him.
One day, Keane meets a mysterious man named Kolmik. Kolmik, who claims to be a retired serial killer, offers to help Keane write a more ‘compelling’ story. Kolmik becomes Keane’s mentor, and together they embark on a strange and dangerous journey.
Susie recognizes Kolmik as a marriage counselor. Unaware of Keane and Kolmik’s unusual relationship, Susie agrees to this ‘counseling’ to save their marriage. However, their ‘counseling’ sessions take an unusual turn.
Meanwhile, Keane and Kolmik carry out their dark plans. They kidnap Keane’s agent, David, and an Albanian named Cesna. The process is chaotic, and they make mistakes.
Susie becomes suspicious of Keane and Kolmik and follows them. She eventually finds herself in a hotel room with her captors. After the truth is revealed, Susie also confesses that she intended to harm Keane. Unexpectedly, Susie pulls out a gun and threatens the captors, but accidentally shoots David.
Eventually, Kolmik seems to take control of the situation. The story ends with Keane describing a love story between a Homo sapien woman and a Neanderthal man that took place in prehistoric Slovenia, where he was writing.
