The story follows the two main characters, Nezha and Ao Bing. The story begins with the Chaos Pearl splitting into two, the Spirit Pearl and the Demon Orb. With Shen Gongbao’s intervention, the Demon Orb is reincarnated as Nezha and the Spirit Pearl is reincarnated as Ao Bing. Since both of their bodies have been destroyed, Master Taiyi attempts to create new bodies for them using the Seven-Colored Lotus. However, due to a conspiracy by Shen Gongbao, Ao Bing’s body breaks down and his soul is about to be destroyed.
Nezha agrees to share her body with him to save Ao Bing’s life. They must retrieve an immortality elixir from Yu Xu Palace within seven days. Meanwhile, a powerful immortal named Immortal Wuliang is plotting murder to strengthen the power of the Chan Sect. He, along with Shen Gongbao and the Dragon Kings, plans to kill Nesha’s parents and the people of Chentang Pass.
Nesha faces the immortality test with Ao Bing, and is aided by his comrades. Meanwhile, the truth about Nesha’s true enemies and their plots is revealed. It is revealed that Nesha’s parents are not dead, and that Wuliang has taken them hostage. Nesha’s father, Li Jing, offers to sacrifice himself to save his son’s life, but Nesha refuses. After Nesha’s body is complete, he prepares to fight Wuliang.
In the end, Nesha, Ao Bing, and their friends unite to fight Wuliang and his schemes. Wuliang says that the power of the world can be achieved by leading the weak.
