Ionic Cordova to Capacitor migration – lost pouchdb sqlite file on Android

Any guidance on how to make Ionic Capacitor use same location for storing pouchdb sqlite *.db file on Android?

Capacitor db file path: /data/data/package.name/app_webview/Default/databases/Origin/*.db

Expected no change with migration as app update does not delete /data contents for the package but seem to have lost or changed db file location hence user sees as data is lost.
