The story revolves around Dr. Abhimanyu Sood. He is facing a medical negligence case and is ready to pay Rs. 5 crore to get out of it. Meanwhile, on April 1st, he receives a prank call saying that his daughter has kidnapped Pratibha and wants Rs. 5 crore as ransom.
Initially, Dr. Sood dismisses this as a trick by his ex-wife or the family that filed the case. But later, it is revealed that Pratibha has actually been kidnapped, and it is by her school teacher, Prasad. Pratibha suffers from Down Syndrome, and Dr. Sood has not had a very good relationship with her. There were times when he considered her a burden.
Now Dr. Sood faces a serious crisis. He has to decide whether to use the money he has kept to settle the case (which is also revealed to be black money) to save his daughter or save his career. Amidst all these problems, he also has to undergo an emergency surgery via video call.
At the climax of the story, it is revealed that this kidnapping was planned by Pratidhi herself, with the help of Guru Prasad. Her aim was to get her father’s attention and make him understand the negligence that had happened to her. Finally, Dr. Sood realizes his mistake and apologizes to Pratidhi.
