Convert string to array in php with Laravel

I am beginner in php. I write small project in php with Laravel.

I have small problem with php. I have this code:

$string = '[maxImageNumber=1,maxImageWidth=1920,maxImageHeight=300,thumbResizeType=[abc,cde,fgh],dictionary=pages]';

How can I map this string to array?
