This mysterious story, based on a story from the ancient Chola dynasty, is set in the present day, along with a series of mysterious events.
During the reign of King Rajendra Chola III (1260-1279 AD), there was a local king named Vengaimaran I. He had two sons – Illanthiraya I and Athigan I. The elder son Athigan I was highly educated and brave, while the younger son Illanthiraya was war-weary.
Vengaimaran I’s kingdom faced war during a Pandya invasion, and the king and his eldest son Athigan were killed in battle. Illanthiraya, who fled from his wife, sought the help of a Thavus who lived in the western hills. Thavus taught him the science of magic and tantric arts.
One day, while Thavuza was meditating, a poisonous snake approached him. Ilanthirayan tried to save Thavuza, but was bitten by the snake. Thavuza gave him a medicine made from the medicinal herb Vasivera to save him.
In the present day, a young woman named Magil Nila comes to a house in a hilly area to take care of an elderly woman. She is preparing to marry her lover, Saravanan. However, there are many mysteries surrounding this house and the elderly woman.
As the days pass, Magil Nila realizes that she has encountered an unusual situation. She learns that she is expecting a child, and it is later revealed that this pregnancy is not an ordinary one. Doubts arise about who the elderly woman really is and what her true intentions are.
