I’m new to Powershell, but learning a great deal online. I have files that are named, for example, name100, name200, name300, name400, name500. And I need to rename the files with a future date attached to the name. For example, name100 would be named name080724. And each subsequent file name (200) would be named the following Wednesday’s date 081424. And so on. The file names would jump 7 days from the beginning date. If that helps. Each file name needs a Wednesday date in the future, name080724, name081424, etc. I’m not even sure if this is possible, but I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I’ve searched online, but haven’t found a workable solution. Would like to know if this is even possible to help automate process in renaming files.
