I'm looking through the Google Sitemaps, there is one site listed as a

Duplicate with no canonical user selection

The website is listed as https://www.website.com/subsite/subsite / where there is a space before the last slash/path.

The web pages are automatically generated from a web database against php, and I have no idea where Google got the idea that exactly one page, and only one page, should have an extra space in it. There is no internal links with an extra space either.

I've tried reading on Google's pages for a solution, without getting any the wiser.

I have also tried to find out if it is possible to do something with htaccess, but I have not become any wiser here either.

Is there any way to remove space before path/slash? Best solution is maybe to somehow redirect https://www.website.com/subsite/subsite / to https://www.website.com/subsite/subsite/, but my attempts to do so fails.

I have read on Google sitemaps internal sites, and tried different solutions with .htaccess and so on
