While UseDefaultFiles serves default files as expected the actual paths don't get reflected in the browser address bar. This creates an inconsistency an unwanted ambiguity for the stuff working of the actual URLs (ex. localStorage).

ex.:

  • site.com/index.html#blah
  • site.com/#blah

serve the same contents, but use different localSotrage's.

How do I make default URLs to be reflected in the browser address bar?
