How exactly does Emmeans calculate Estimated Means and how to replicate that in Python? [closed]

I'm looking for/want to implement a Python-only version of pymer4, especially Linear Mixed-Effects Models.

I've found one approach here which looks good, but is really specific to this one case. Does someone know another approach, or have hints on how emmeans calculated the estimated marginals means, which would allow me to implement it myself? The final step, calculating p-values using the Tukey test has already been answered here.
