The story begins with the life of a mason named Radha. She is the main character of this story. Radha is a mason who works on tiles. But her biggest problem is her addiction to alcohol.
One day, an argument breaks out between Radha and another mason at the workplace. Due to this argument, Radha is taken to the police. At the police station, Radha gets into a lot of trouble after drinking the inmates’ alcohol. After this incident, Radha’s wife Anjalam decides to send her to a rehabilitation center.
The head of the rehabilitation center named Ashokan takes Radha in and starts treating her. Although Radha is initially against this, over time she realizes that this is for her own good. At the center, she meets other patients like Elango. Radha learns a lot through the friendship she forms with them.
But one day, Radha and a few other patients escape from the center. But that freedom does not bring her happiness. She turns to alcohol again. By this time, Anjalam has started living separately with her two children. Radha goes and apologizes to Anjalam. But he refuses.
Finally, Radha tries to commit suicide. But that too fails. After this experience, she goes to Ashok’s center again. This time, she decides to really stop drinking.
After five years, Radha is completely free from alcohol and is living a successful life. At the celebration held for her fifth birthday, Anjalam says that now their family life is happy. He also says that the love he had with Radha has been rekindled.
